Understanding Project Cash Flow Analysis Basics
Project cash flow tracks the money coming into and going out of a project over time. Inflows may include customer payments, loans, grants, or investor funding, while outflows include labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses. Net cash flow is calculated by subtracting total outflows from total inflows. A project can be profitable but still face cash shortages if inflows arrive later than outflows are due. Cash flow analysis helps identify funding gaps, manage timing, and ensure the project can meet its financial obligations.
Corgage helps: upload your project figures and ask plain-language questions to see inflows, outflows, and net cash flow laid out clearly. You can model timing scenarios and spot cash gaps before they become problems, without building a spreadsheet from scratch.
